First Baptist Dalton is a multi-generational community of believers that engages the head and heart, celebrating and encouraging the diversity of its members and its community, in the worship of God. We encourage all ages to offer their gifts (music, drama, visual arts, dance), exploring ways to spark the spiritual imagination and involve the whole person in worship. We believe that First Baptist Dalton’s worship should be a catalyst for ongoing ministry and mission beyond our walls.

Celebrate Life celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022. The musical, with its classic 1970’s sound follows the incarnation to resurrection story of our Lord as told through the eyes of his close followers.

We believe that during these formative years, teenagers are laying down the soundtracks for their lives—learning music that will become a part of their faith vocabulary for years to come. As with all our music ensembles, we also believe that this Good News should not be kept to ourselves. Thus, we look for opportunities to go beyond our walls to minister to others in the name of Christ.
CHILDREN'S choir
This graded choir program focuses on our core belief that much of the theology that we learn comes through the music that we sing. Our children learn a great deal about how to sing and how to read music. What a great way to introduce your child to the important matters of faith that are such a vital part of their Christian experience!
New Horizon's
You are never too old to sing! That’s why First Baptist Church specifically plans a ministry program of music for the “senior” members of our congregation. If you love to sing and you want to be a part a a great fellowship of senior adults, the New Horizons Choir is the place to be on Mondays!
First Baptist Orchestra
A growing ministry at First Baptist is the Orchestra program. It is open to Youth and Adults who play an instrument. If you have a musical instrument that you enjoy playing or have played some time in the past, we’d love for you to join us!

Handbell Choir
Handbell choirs are a beautiful example of the importance of working together in unity.
Their strong, clear tones provide a unique worship experience that evokes a sense of the majesty and beauty of God.This “one of a kind” ministry in our community is designed specifically to teach the children of our church how to play handbells.
And, as they learn to play handbells they are also honing their music-reading skills.
