"But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them;
for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs."
Children are welcome . . . We begin welcoming children into our faith community at birth and continue to value their presence and participation as they grow. We understand the importance of teaching children about God from an early age, and we strive to provide a learning environment that is safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate. Through worship, study, fellowship, and service, we are dedicated to providing preschoolers and children with a solid foundation for their spiritual journey.
Families are welcome . . . We hope that you will find First Baptist to be a place in which your whole family can be involved. First Baptist strives to be a place for your whole family to grow deeper in relationship with Christ and with each other.

Shine Jesus' Light
We invite Children ages 3-11 years old to join us for Stellar VBS this summer!
Family Night (dinner + performance): June 15th, 5:30-6:30pm
At Stellar VBS, kids will discover how they can shine Jesus’ love and hope in everyday life! Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing fun songs, play teamwork-building games, devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible Adventures, and make crafts that remind them of Jesus’ light. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Family members and friends are encouraged to join us on Thursday night, June 15th at 5:30pm to experience the stories and music your children have been learning all week and enjoy dinner together!
Through Sunday School, Extended Session Care, Choirs and Missions Friends we provide Preschoolers an age appropriate solid foundation for their spiritual journey.
Through Sunday School, Children's Worship, Choirs, GA's, RA's, special events throughout the year, VBS, and summer camp we strive to provide an age appropriate foundation for their spiritual journey.
During the school year, our graded choir program focuses on our core belief that much of the theology that we learn comes through the music that we sing. Our children learn a great deal about how to sing and how to read music. What a great way to introduce your child to the important matters of faith that are such a vital part of their Christian experience!
Our missions programming happens on Wednesday nights (6:15-7:15p.m.) throughout the school year for children 3 years old through 5th grade! A dedicated team of volunteer teachers uses the Mission Friends and Mission Journey Kids curriculum to teach our children about missionaries and ministries who are sharing God’s love both in Dalton and around the world! Children also participate in a different mission project each month. From packing bags for people experiencing homelessness, to singing for our friends in the nursing home, we experience what it means to love our neighbors as Jesus commands!
