"But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them;
for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs."
Matthew 19:14
Children are welcome . . . We begin welcoming children into our faith community at birth and continue to value their presence and participation as they grow. We understand the importance of teaching children about God from an early age, and we strive to provide a learning environment that is safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate. Through worship, study, fellowship, and service, we are dedicated to providing preschoolers and children with a solid foundation for their spiritual journey.
Families are welcome . . . We hope that you will find First Baptist to be a place in which your whole family can be involved. First Baptist strives to be a place for your whole family to grow deeper in relationship with Christ and with each other.

We believe that the home is the primary source for spiritual development for children. Our goal in the Children’s Ministry is to come alongside parents as they teach and disciple their children. We are here to encourage, empower, and equip parents on their family’s spiritual journey.
However, our journey these past six months has created some unique challenges in the partnership between Church and families. Because we have not been able to meet together at Church, we have had to be innovative in how we help with faith development. To enable children to participate in The Story Bible study, we have placed an ageappropriate Bible in each home and provided fun ways to engage with the greatest Story ever told.

Vacation Bible School is an important, fun time for our Children.
children's choir
This graded choir program focuses on our core belief that much of the theology that we learn comes through the music that we sing. Our children learn a great deal about how to sing and how to read music. What a great way to introduce your child to the important matters of faith that are such a vital part of their Christian experience!
