Love Your Neighbor

Our traditional Serving Beyond Day is not possible this year due to the pandemic, so we’re starting a new year-long focus - Love Your Neighbor. It is our desire that FBCD will spread love throughout our community and beyond. Jesus gave us the great commandment in Luke 10:27, to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.”
But Jesus also tells us in Matthew 10:42 (The Message) that the work He has asked us to do is not easy. “This is a large work I’ve called you into, but don’t be overwhelmed by it. It’s best to start small. Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty, for instance. The smallest act of giving or receiving makes you a true apprentice. You won’t lose out on a thing.”

So, how do we begin to love our neighbors? Our hope is that each and every one of us will find ways to become the hands and feet of Christ. As we begin this journey of love together, we want to encourage each of you to prayerfully consider these questions:
